Grubs are ugly. I've got them in my soil. They've done damage in my front lawn and I've found them while tilling and planting in the garden beds and in the patch. Some are as fat as my finger. YUCK. From what I've read, these things are beetle larvae and like to snack on roots. I've got about 60 days before planting. Two questions: will the mustard I tilled in 10 days ago have any effect on them? Has anyone had any luck with Hb Nematodes, and if so, how long does it take for them to do there thing? Otherwise, a pesticide is probably the best course. What is recommended? Thanks in advance!

"Sterilize the dirt before you plant. Dampen the soil surface, then lay a clear tarp over it and let the sun bake the soil for four weeks. Temperatures under the tarp can reach as high as 140 degrees Fahrenheit, reports the University of California, effectively killing grubs, weed seeds and other soil pests."

I've got a clear tarp on it now as the last step in the mustard cover crop. On top of that, its supposed to be 95 degrees here on Friday so maybe I am already treating this problem.
