When painting the stem do you have to keep it off the pumpkins skin and is it also used on the blossom end as a rot preventer.Do you reapply on the stem very often if its been kept dry just got some today ,and need the facts Jack.

I have used it on damaged skin on the pumpkin like groundhog, deer or rabbit bites, or burns if the shade tarp fell on it. Once the skin forms a scab you can wipe it off. I leave it on an oozing stem until just before the weigh off if necessary and re-apply as needed.

Never as a preventative, but anywhere that has damage or is suspect. Brooks Bosworth taught me about the full strength Daconil many years ago and it has saved many pumpkins for me. Who needs a fan if you have daconil?
