Anyone ever experience any negative effects from using moth balls around the pumpkin to repel rodents?

Do NOT let the moth balls touch the pumpkin. They will eat into the skin.

Where gloves when handling them or your hands will stink and your wife will not be happy.

Moth balls are an insecticide you should wear gloves for that reason also,inhaling mothballs is also bad for you.
