If it is soft it is a problem, the fruit is going down. If not soft let the air to it and dry the skin down to kill the mold. A weak bleach solution may be used to wipe the area to kill it.

weekly 10% bleach baths.I usually add some hydrogen peroxide and daconil. Then sponge bathe . A liitle sun will also help. especially in poor ventilation conditions. I try and stop anything greenish early.

Looks like scab to me, but only a few spots (the deeper ones)the rest looks like a fungus of some kind. I had scab a few years ago..tried bleach, pkn went down anyway. I got it again this year, so I hit it with 12% peroxide..stopped it..still growing a lil , so far!

Just went through your diary. With the leaf issues you showed earlier I would say it's bacterial spot. Sometimes called "hole shot" because it will give the leaves the appearance of being shot with a shotgun in more advanced stages. Somewhat treatable but don't wait. Spray the plant and fruit with bactericide. It should not hurt if my diagnosis is incorrect.

I should add..if its scab (usually black spots) when you spray it , wipe it with a rag and see if rag removes some of it, it did for me. Your spots look green, so not 100% sure!

I agree with Linus. It's going ugly on you. That's how this one started, but was much worse.

Alive and ugly doesn't bother me,I've already wiped it down with bleach solution and didn't notice any change in the dark spots . I haven't measured in 9 days its been too cool to bother with but I will try a peroxide spray when I measure later,I guess it won't do any harm.
My leaves look terrible

I agree with Dave on this one (Bacterial leaf spot). Usually when you see the little brown spots, your pumpkin is pretty much done growing and turning the other way. I had a plant do the same thing. Later confirmed to be the leaf spot. I would recommend burning any residue plant when done. It carries from year to year.

come on people give me a break its like armageddon around here,,it gained 63 pounds in the last 9 days, so I will ignore any negative ideas and kiss and hug it in tell its so soft I fall inside and drown in the muck.Seriously thanks for the ideas so far, is it a wait and see?
Does leaf spot carry to separated plots, mine are about 60 feet apart with grass between them, and so far I havent noticed my leaves getting small holes , I will have a lot to read about this winter.

Here's a couple links. You can compare and be the judge. I've battled it a bit this year and still got gains in my genetics patch. It will spread with rain/humidity but most likely would be carried by hand, shoes, wind, tools, bugs etc. It's a bacteria. Who knows for sure if it will jump 60 ft. assuming it's bacterial spot of course.

Totally normal ... Muliti colored fruit r normal... Mold is fuzzy and can be wiped off... Disease well you would know if you had one. If it's rotting it will be soft and smelly

On a good note, that ugly squashkin lasted until December and I finally composted it.
