I have confirmed that my vine has gummy stem. There seems to be limited info regarding my options moving forward. I cut the leaves off the vine which have it. This slowed the spread for a few days. Then I stopped to see what would happen. The spread is now roughly half of my vine. My pumpkin is around 400 lb right now and is the biggest I've grown. Any one with any ideas other then cutting the vine in half. Please help!

Here is a good resource about Gummy Stem and in Tables 1 and 2 there are some biological as well as chemical options provided.

It is not an easy disease to control and crop rotation is the "best" option to reduce the severity in the future.

Thank you. I had downloaded and read that right before coming on here. That was the only info I could really understand lol. It seems I may be s.o.l. I am to blame unfortunately. I covered my vines and then watered late in day and watered alot. This lead to powdery mildew and then this. Maybe I'll chop the vine and hope for the best. Thank you.
