I've noticed small cracks on the stem of the pumpkins is this normal. They are only about 1/64-1/32 deep, is there any thing to worry about? When I was at the Port Elgin weigh off last year the stems almost looked like the one at the weigh off. Dose the stems look like that early in the pumpkins development. I would appreciate anyones feedback.

can you supply a picture of the cracks? Maybe I can tell you if it is normal if i see them.
