from experience only don't care what labels say, when I drench in new plant in small area (inside hut)with imidacloprid worms come to surface and die. later season they survive fine

It will kill cucumber beetles and SVB larva and squash bugs. It is systemic and gets into the plant. The bug eats the plant. RIP bug.

Exactly what Don said, acute poisoning is what happens localized, but outside that they are ok at least here. Of course, it depends on how much you use and at what rate. The I dig in my patch on the borders mid season for crawlers and find plenty to fish Bluegills with my 3 yr old.
