I received my soil test back and it said my Phosphorus is excessive! What can I do to fix this?

I am not going to add any this spring but what I have read on line it takes time for it to lower and there was not anything you could add to lower it so my thought was to add new soil to my garden to kinda delude it. I don't know if that will do it or not

Mine is really high also. No more compost for me! I'm digging deeply and mixing the soil to dilute it a bit. I hope it helps. Can you top 258 ppm for phos?

Yep, thats pretty dang high. High phos can tie up other nutrients. Watch your zinc for one. Ill be doing a couple of petiole tests to measure what's in the plant. Phos is not water soluable so heavy water will not move it. Water moves sodium, nitrogen, boron, etc. If you need to fertilize another garden patch you can use your pumpkin patch soil.... Another thing that will work over time is crop removal. Plants will pull phosphate out of the soil. By removing the plant material, you are removing nutrients. You could plant a cover crop and mow it, bagging and removing the residue. I figure I will not be adding any phos for many years to come. My nitrates are 91 also. I'm only adding biologicals / bacteria and some MN and B as foliar. I ended up being a More On.

Thats a much better number for phos. If your calcium is 11,705 is your pH real high?
