I bought a small pie pumpkin because I'm an enthusiast of all things miniature. Shortly after I bought it, it started bubbling. The bubbles are small and orange. They are coming from what appears to be a slight gash in the pumpkin. It has not continued to bubble from this initial bubbling. The bubbles go across the side for about half an inch, as this is a very small pumpkin. As I have sinus troubles, I cannot yet identify an odor to the bubbles, although I've tried smelling them. It doesn't smell concerningly bad. Should I be worried about my pumpkin? Do I need to throw it away? What could have caused this problem?

Mr. or Mrs./Miss Lime...I would advise taking it to your nearest Atlantic Giant weigh-off, there are several in Penn., and others nearby. Wait till the weigh-off is over, then find the winner & ask him/her to smell it!! Seriously!!! They will probably have a nose for miniature smells from miniature pumpkins!!! Or, ask to speak to the GPC site rep., and ask the same ?'s. Peace, Wayne

Im not sure what side of the state you are on. I am in the Northeast corner... I would be glad to take a wiff if you are close. October 7th in Altoona is the PGPGA weigh off at Sams Club. James Carson or Larry and Gerry Checkon may be able to help if you are close to that area.

I'm in Western Pennsylvania. Honesdale is five hours away, and Altoona is about three hours away. I'll have to look into which Atlantic Giant weigh-off I'm closest to. Thanks to both of you!
