This is my first year growing so I don't really know what to expect.I was out in the patch yesterday and noticed I had a female flower bud ready to open the next day. I was watering when I accidentally hit it with the hose VERY LIGHTLY. The next thing I knew thr florew had come offthe baby pumpkin. It was about 12 feet on the main vine. Any ideas or suggestions? All are appreciated.

If the flower fell off before it was pollinated it is toast. Just wait for another you have time.

I've had this happen from to much ferts in the patch. Super depressing to see the females start to come out, shrivel up and then fall off.. If this is the case water with no ferts for awhile.

Be more careful with how you swing your hose around!
