I had a female with several seeds on the bottom of one lobe this morning. I've heard of this but not sure how it affects the outcome of the pumpkin. What really sucks is that it was the 1330 Gansert at 14' and I pollinated it with the 907 Young. More info on this would be appreciated.

I pollinated one with seeds in the flower... It was the first to rot in the fall the blossom was a weak area for rot and probably physically weak too but it didnt split ...it just rotted there. Anyhow the consensus in past discussions on these is they are not great ones to bet the farm on. I dissected one today that didnt look too horrible...but dont get hopes up at least treat with fungicide ahead of time if you have no other option.

Blossom end rot seems to be the winner. Culled it this morning. My next 1330 Gansert opened this morning at 16' on the main and the 907 Young was kind enough to supply me with one male. All is good.
