So I scrambling to try and save my big plant. Yesterday I noticed some holes and frass around the stump and cut into it and pulled out 4-5 SVB larvae! But one of the holes went into the hollow section of the stump and I'm worried I may have missed one/some... Can I safely spray permethrine in there using a meat injector or something so I don't have to open the stump up? Just don't know if spraying inside it like that would hurt the plant with the chemicals. Any thoughts?

Adam: i used to buy syringes from Gardens Alive to inject Nematodes in the vines back in the day, don't know if they still carry them? you should be using a systemic pesticide to control borers. go to this website get some cyonara

You need to keep the borers out of the vine in the first place the systemic pesticide will do that
