What insecticide programs do you use that is effective for SVB, cuke beetles, and squash bugs?

Green Rye

Brillion Wisconsin

I have used the systemic insecticide Disulfoton with great results. I also spray the plants when insect levels are high. I rotate between Lambda-Cyhalothrin and Cyfluthrin. I also use Sevin and Malathion every so often. A Few days after I see the first SVB moth I dust the undersides of the leaves with Permethrin. One of the best ways to kill the SVB's with insectide is to get them in the larvae stage. Don't forget to buy a few fly swatters. Good luck in 2004

Merit 75 2 weeks pre-plant watered in.
Repeat at 90 days

Lambda-cyhalothrin (Battle) weekly with my previously mentioned fungicides. But this year I ran into late season mites & White flies. So I then switched to Bifenthrin (Talstar). To avoid this issue, I'll rotate the 2 this year.

malathion and sevin did not do the trick last year
on the svbs, but was ok for the cukes and squash bugs.

this year after advice from several different growers,
i will go the lambda-cyhalothrin route using "demand cs".
i found it online at

http://www.doyourownpestcontrol.com/SPEC/pick-demandcs.htm

i will also use merit similar to Tremor yet using a
different product that i bought at home depot.
it's bayer advanced tree and shrub (imidacloprid).
at steve's advice (tremor) i will be applying it at the
same intervals he mentioned above at a rate of 4 oz of Bayer Tree & Shrub per gallon to 500 sq ft.

hoping to get them svb's in check this year.

Is there anything out there less than $150.00 a quart?

Tremor

Check out Brent. $43.85 for Talstar-One at Seedoutlet.com

http://store.seedoutlet.com/seedoutlet/insecticides.html

Talstar controls more insects than Warrior & is just as fast.
