Has anyone noticed that the svb moth prefer to lay there eggs on new plant growth? Is there a reason for this?

They are smart. Probably pass up the fungisided and insecticided older stuff for the tender greens of a growing tip. I haven't found them to be that selective here though...nothing is safe here...................G
