I use the tree and shrub with the same active ingredient as Merit only 13.3 % active. I applied 1 1/2 tsp/gallon and foliar sprayed the entire plant surfaces on June 23. I just started seeing a few SVB, and was wondering how long the 6/23 application will be effective. Should I be following up with a nonsystemic? Does the Merit do anything to the adults, or just kill the larvae once they start munching down. Another question, how long does it take for the eggs to hatch after being deposited on the plant?

90 days is what the active life the supplier reports...it only kills the larvae. You would need to actually need to use a contact to kill the adults.

6 to 12 days for the eggs to hatch, from what ive read, also you can use merit as a contact.
