I am looking for help. I am a newbie.
I have had this happen a few times this year. Maybe blossom end rot?
This pumpkin was about the size of a beach ball. My other pumpkins got something similar around 20 DAP. But the rot was on the stem end and not really on the blossom end.
Being a newbie, i think i was a little slow with the Cal-Mag....But not sure if that's my problem.
I've been keeping the soil moist and its rich in compost. It is quite high in P but i've tried adjusting it by adding Gypsum this past spring and keeping the plant on a well balanced liquid program.

CORRECTION: The soil is not high in P. The P is fine.
The soil is high in K.

You can also lose them from vine borer damage or yellow vine disease.

Check for insect damage, or the pumpkin may be staying to wet. It looks like its sitting on a blue tarp.
