I have tarp burn.....The area is shaded and has a fan on it. I am getting captan fungicide delivered andI was contemplating using Bravo. Does anyone have any experience with Bravo for tarp burn?
I see that Richmond Dave did but his email is not working.

Chlorothalonil is the best. It works great for stuff like that. Never used it on tarp burn, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Just keep and eye on it, if it gets soft or rotten underneath the burn scrape down to healthy tissue then paint on the bravo. It will dry it up in a hurry.

Big moon, what would recommend for a rate? I find most of these specialty products lack mix rates for pumpkins. Thanks!

When putting it on the fruit to stop rot You usually put it on full strength.(right out of the the bottle with a paintbrush) However Bravo is 54 % Chlorothalonil and the Bonide Fungonil that I normally use is 26% Chlorothalonil. So you could probably water it down a bit. I don't think full strength bravo would hurt anything but having never used bravo specifically I can't say for sure.

If your wondering about mixing rate for a foliar spray, I found this old Thread.

It'll make it. Here is an early shot and a later for mine. Once it scars, you'll be good. Its shape was funny in that spot too since that area of skin cannot expand.

I would be cautious on using Bravo Weatherstik full strength like you might with Fungonil or Daconil. They all contain Chlorothalonil but the Weatherstik has a built in spreader/sticker. Not sure if your pumpkin will tolerate that concentration of a spreader/sticker on it's skin. I would not hesitate painting it on a vine or stem but would not trust it on the fruit without being reduced.

Okay. Thank you. I will try it reduced with 50% water and see how it goes on and how I feel about it. I will let you know and post pictures soon.
Thank you again everybody. What a great community.
