Pumpkin stopped growing at 47 DAP at 200 lbs. Got 400+ lbs last year… not sure what’s wrong. Used a different site than last year, tilled in ~4 yards of compost, watered ~100 gallons twice per week, mulched with 4 inches of wood chips, fertilized once with 18-10-10 water soluble fetishized at 30 DAP. No rain, moderate temperatures by SoCal standards. Any ideas??

In my opinion the mulched in wood chips are breaking down and eating up your nitrogen. Jim

I've had bad results dumping fertilizer on, does the product you used have use ammonium, or nitrate, or urea? I was just learning how nitrate is really, really unhelpful especially in hot weather! Advancing eco ag posted a game changing video on it a couple months ago.
(It increases transpiration loss, which depletes calcium from the xylem, which could in turn abort the pumpkin?) Its all new info to me, but basically fits with what I already know, and my own past problems/ aborted kin last year.

My guess is the yellowing would be from something besides low nitrogen. It looks like you did have a nitrogen deficiency prior to adding nitrogen but now the leaves being a bit bloated may indicate you put on a bit too much... idk.

To clarify, nitrogen isnt bad, but in hot weather, nitrate would be the least-good form of nitrogen. If you waych that video "How nitrate creates yield drag by Advancing Eco Agriculture" on youtube, I guarantee you'll learn something, maybe a whole avalanche of new info. Sorry for so many posts.
