This is the second year in a row they're late showing their faces. Or else Merit really does work as well as I say it does.

Due to the warm clear sunny weather we have had in Pennsylvania they should be if they are to be. I have seen none yet. They do not show in great numbers every year according to my patch records...or general garden records.

I have already seen some of the larger beetles commonly called June Beetles including a few early Jap Beetles. Darn near everything of record is up to a month early this year.

John: saw one in the house but not outside on the pumpkins, they must be waiting inside until the warmer weather arrives?

They're in the Southern Appalachian Mtns now, SVB too.
Everything early here cause May was unusually mild and warm I think.

I guess the Southern Appalachian Mtn climate doesn't help your question huh?
Sorry 'bout that...
