Big Kahuna 25

Ontario, Canada.

What does the entrance hole look like? I have found a hole on one of my vines. Posted a pic which should be up in the morning. Can anyone point me to a picture of the vine entrance hole and a remedy if any.

Kahuna2 in despair.

Topsfield, Ma.

Some folks slit the vine the long way and remove the grub physically. I have used a syringe for ear drops available at the local drug store, loaded w/Sevin and injected directly into the suspect hole. Good luck!

From the pic I can't be sure. Being this early in the season I would not expect SVB to be in Ontario, I just saw my 1st moth here in Virginia last week. Even so I believe it takes a week or two before the eggs hatch. My advice would be to keep an eye on it and look for any "frass" to discharge from the hole. If the hole remains clean, then you're probably ok. Good Luck.
