Thanks to Tremors post awhile back regarding plant leaf deseases, I believe I had a plant infected with squash leaf curl. After further "yahooing" I found links that this is primarily found in Texas, Arizona, and Cali. Has Anyone heard or experienced this ailment here in the northeast? Any help would be appreciated. PS The plant [backup] has been pulled, nuked, sterilized, and removed 200 miles away!!

Thank You peter

I've seen what some would call "squash leaf curl",and it was caused from too much heat/sunlight! Most plants will recover from a little "burn"!

Peter,

When you suspect an obscure foliar disease, try to get a sample to your nearest Agriculture Experiment Station. They offer pathological services usually for free. Better Ag schools usually do too. Then we'll know for sure if a destructive regional disease or insect pest is on the move.

Thanks Kilr/Tremor I will check with the local coop ext. at URI to see if they can test. The burn was a situaton that did not occur from a hot day or did it happen to all leaves at the same time. Another words it seemed to "spread". Although the disease may be obscure the pics seemed to match. Thanks for you input Peter
