This link is to a picture of a leaf on my 1230. Much of the older growth looks like this. I have been spraying weekly with abound. Any ideas? Any suggestions?

Looks like a common house fly to me. LOL

But the brown spots could be a lot of things. Early signs of Target Leaf Spot maybe. But it could be as simple as some salt injury from recent foliar ferts. Need more detail/history on fertility program.

You might wish to rotate that Abound with another Strobi or at least combine a contact in there somehow to avoid resistence issues later.

I'm doing AGRO-K for most of my foliar, although I'm also doing an Epsom salt solution on one of the off days.(4T/gallon). It's been really wet here though. haven't been able to do much other feeding lately because the ground is too wet, and I don't want to water in fish or solubles to compound the moisture problem. It is supposed to get warmer this week and dry out. I'll pick up some contact today. I have Banner Maxx to rotate after fruit set, and I'm going to add Compass to the mix as well.

Matt, What strength are you mixing the abound?
I had a similar problem with two of my plants, though not as bad. I'm still trying to figure it out. They are just recovering now. Its been about two weeks to get back to normal. I thought it may have been too much epsom salts but when I reviewed my usage if was a very low application. I believe now it was caused by the combination of too much rainfall and Fert, burn, too much tea and every thing else.
What strength are you mixing the abound?

It looks like some type of leaf spot, but could be alot of things like Steve said, including maybe fungicide burn?.
I'm using 3/4 "tsp" of Abound per gallon...you sure you read those directions right?
Did you read that article in the Internet link I sent you via e-mail? "Best use guidelines for Quadris (Abound) on Cucurbits"...something like that. You need to rotate that with other fungicides or resistance will surely buildup. I think it also says not to use it more than 4 applications per season. I've used my Abound and Compass once each and used maybe 4-5 other fungicides between the two applications.

I also have the same spots on some of my older leaf's. We have had a lot of rain here and all I have given my plants from the beginning is a daily foliar feeding for fertilizer. I don't know if that helps you narrow down the cause. I have started last week with a fungicide and the brown spots do not seem to be to much of a concern at this time.. but of course with my luck... let's see

Um....A tablespoon has 15 mls in it or one half ounce. So at the heavy rate of 15.4 ounces (450 mls) per acre, so a Tablespoon would treat 1452 square feet (43,560/30) in whatever quantity of water you prefer.

A gallon might treat about 500 square feet in our patch. So if using the lower 11 oz per acre rate, then 3.5 mls per gallon would get the job done.

Can we please lose all these spoons & start using medical syringes? They're much more accurate & quite a bit safer too since they're not hanging around all over dripping chemicals on stuff. I rinse the syringe into a partially full cup od water & leave it standing in it until the next use. Then the spent water goes into the next tank.

If anyone needs a few, drop me a line. I have quite a few that cost me nothing & can probably get more.

Just an idea.
