This is a new one on me. There are 2 spots slight to the left in this image that were caused by animals.

But the alligator crazed skin came about on it's own. Notice the reduced growth rate of the fruit in this area? The fruit wall is currently sound, but not as thick as the rest of the thing.

Can't tell by the picture but what size is the fruit....and did this get any bleach applications yet...almost looks like a bad sunburn???

I agree sunburn is possible, but BACTERIAL FRUIT BLOTCH can look like this. Does the fruit still survive? -- Chris
