One of my big pumpkins has some type of ooze coming out of the pumpkin..Its clear and gummy on on the skin near the stem but not the stem itself..any help on identification??

Williamsburg KY, thanks for getting back to me on the problem..I was worried. Should I put some captan paste on it?? This is my second year growing giants and its been fun, last year grew on 135# thought I was something. As of yesterday the largest I have is 104 totalinches...OUr local contest is in September and the winner of last year wanted competition, so I told him Id oblige....
