My biggest pumpkin ever Tubby, was doing well,he's up to 113" in circumference about 350lbs. this afternoon I noticed a slit right above and below the remnant of the blossom. They are 1cm or less in length but I can't tell how deep,(I didn't want to go probing around in there) I pushed captan in the cracks and pasted over them. Its raining here so I covered it so the paste would dry. Has this particular problem happened to any of you? Is it over for Tubby? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also nothing seemed to be oozing yet if that means anything. Amy

Amy,
I have had cracks up to 4" long that have healed, keep it dry. I powdered mine with cinnamin, and baking soda, organic fungicides. Hopefully your pumpkin will heal itself. Good luck!
