I have 7 week old twins and I won't have time to plant a garden this year. So, I wanted to grow GIANT pumpkins for the kids first Halloween. Please help with some growing tips. I live near Chicago. Should I plant a particular type of seed for my area ? How do you care for the plants ? Fertilizer ????? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated .

These plants take a minimum of 100 square feet to get a fruit that is a few hundred pounds.
