the pages on BP are filling in slower and slower the past few days..anybody else seeing this or is it just my old computer..

Lobsta, Maybe neither. John & Ken can probably be a lot more help here than me. But a few weeks back, I noticed the same thing. I did the disc-defrag & all that, but very little improvement. I often use my IBM ThinkPad lap-top with it's 56K dial out modem rather than my kickbutt, DSL Gateway on this sight so it was becoming a bother (that one is the "family computer"). Since the lap-top is a travling computer, it's very easy to change the modems dial-out destination. I changed it to another local phone number & the thing increased in speed dramatically. Like 3 seconds to load a page that formerly took 15-20 seconds! The time of day has a lot to do with it too. As soon as kids get home from school, this computer slows down quite a bit. If you have cable TV, you might want to look into the highspeed internet offering from the cable company. It actually costs us LESS money than it did from the phone company & pages load almost instantly. Steve

i just came back from town and the pages are lightning fast again..they have been barely filling in for three days..i have a nice fast cable connection but an old computer.john
