While I was looking for WWI info on the HistoryChannel.com web site, I happened to stumble onto their "History of Hallwe'en" page. http://www.historychannel.com/exhibits/halloween/pumpkin.html
I noticed they had the giant pumpkin record from 2000 and sent them an update, along with the link to BigPumpkins. I also told them that it's possible a new record could be set this year.
My question is: if they link (I have asked them) to BigPumpkins.com, is this going to heavily impact the server? I have no idea what the site is running on, nor what kind of hits would come from a History Channel link.
If it's kosher to ask them for a link, how about everyone else emailing them and asking for a BigPumpkins link? Hey, maybe even end up with a mention on their Hallowe'en show!
You never know.

Don't worry we can handle it. We are already doing over 1 million hits per month.

Cool, thanks, Ken.
I'm going to make a wee post in the General forum and see if a bevvy of requests will get them to link to BigPumpkins :P
