This is my first try at growing pumpkins. I transplanted my pumpkins (Atlantic Giants) into my garden on July 4th and they are growing like crazy, but after reading some of the posts here, I feel like I might have gotten off to a late start. I live in South Florida so I know my growing season is different than it is north of me, but I am wondering how much of a difference that will make in the outcome of my crop. Any comments or suggestions?

If you are not going to a weigh off, (which are normally during the end of September to early October) then I think it is ok to start early and then grow into November. Good Luck, Kevin

you are a bit late for any weigh off in oct, but you can gain a ton of experiance and may still grow a giant fruit!!
READ there is tons of information on this site, read, read, read, then read some more, get ready for next season.
Good luck
Gary
