I've been experimenting with differant composts and soil worked best for me but I think it ought to be sterilized first any bright ideas on how to do this?

Warning!
If you try this you may find your clothes packed and on the steps!(The smell!) Over here there are actual contractor's that will cook your soil, but it is very expensive! Fumigating would also sterilize, but be sure to follow directions!

I read several years ago in a gardening magazine about sterilzing small quanities of soil using your BBQ. After you finish cooking, REMOVE THE MEAT, then put the pan of soil on the coals as they burn out. In 20-30 minutes it's done and this keeps the smell outside.
