How much Mycorrhizae should you use when starting your seeds?
Is it personal preference?
Thanks,

Joel Holland recommends 3.5 oz. per 1 cubic foot of soil. http://hollandsgiants.com/soil.html

i use about 2 tbl spoon for the same amount of soil.... I would recommend that you use 1 lb per a cubic foot of soil if I was selling it. 3.5 oz seems very generious. remember it does grow.

lol--good tip! i myself have been using one CUP per 10 moist quarts of SS mix. when the peat pots are in the germinator bucket, a whitish, hairy growth appears across the top of the SS mix, indicating to me that it is indeed growing; maybe i will try using less per batch as well. eric g

LOL Kolb! ten pounds per 100 sQFt may be better! Can you really put to much on? I went through 3 pounds in 5 plants and didnt notice much difference in punkin weight if any. Could it be that chemicals and or ferts kill the Mycos?

It could be that itgets killed off some with chems or that mycos really dont help as mush as everyone thinks. I use around 2/3 oz per 100 sq ft. This year I might skip it all together. It should winter over in some minute amout.
