Have been watching Joe Hollands latest video. He uses 1tsp of dry soluable seaweed poweder to 1 gal of water which he then soaks his seeds in before placing them into paper towels for to greminate

I have Neptune Haverst liquid seaweed fertilizer 0-0-1. What would be an equivialnt amount to use for the above method of Hollands?

Yes i like to use the seaweed in my germanation also (not any fish though iv tryed it & not good from my trials) I use only sm amount to be safe though, maybe if your mixing a gallon than 1 teaspoon,, go very light !!!

I too plan on using the dry seaweed for help in starting my seeds, but also am wondering how others use powdered kelp products over the course of a season? I acutally thought about using it in my soil prep, and did so in mixing 55 gallons worth of water, kelp powder and molasses to drench my soil after my first tilling. It should help the microbe action and give back some trace nutrients that went missing with last years planting.

Any others using kelp powder and how many uses do you have for it?

I just finished portioning out more than 50 pounds of kelp meal (not suluable powder) into smaller ziploc bags for storage. For my relatively small garden (about 500 sqft.) I think that I would till in about 10-12 pounds. But, I don't really know what I am doing. I'm just relying on the advice of others. I have a hug jug of molasses too. :-)
