I have noticed several growers starting their seeds in plastic coffee cans, my question is..how do you remove the plant from the can for planting without having all the soil fall off the plant and root ball?? thanks!

Remove the bottom of the plastic container and use the top as the new bottom,,when planting remove that "top" and the plant slides out nicely. Any confusion you can cut the plastic with a shears and simply slide the whole rootmass gently into the planting hole.
Works for me.

Do all this before hand... and wrap the duct tape around it. I am sure you have a few rolls of it lying around Keith.
