Looking for reason as to why 2 of my plant would push up through the dirt. cot leafs open 3/4 of the way. Then just stop growing? Plants were started in baggie then put in pots came through soil in about 4 days. Any ideas?

better get some back ups started.

Steve,

It has been in the mid 80's. It wasn't as controlled as in a cooler.

I did it the same way I did it last year under a grow light. It worked great last year.

Gordon, I'm sorry to say that one of the plants I lost was your 775. The second one I had I shared with a friend.

Kenny,

If Gordon is correct & the seedling has a soil borne disease, then get it out & a backup plant going NOW. Dig out & toss the soil from that area too.

If the air temps are in the 80's, the soil temps may still be in the 50's. They are here. So growth will absolutely stall if this is the case.

Do you have a soil thermometer?

Steve,

I don't have a soil thermometer yet, I'll order one this morning.

I think the tomatos I started are effected to. They are starting to turn yellow & die.

I've started veggies for a few year now the same way I started my pumpkin & tomato this year. I will do things different next year.

Thanks

Kenny
