I live in California about 60 miles northeast of San Francisco. When do I plant pumpkins and or start seeds?

I live about 40 miles from you in Sacramento County. i started my seeds in April and planted the last of April. You dn't get the heat all the time like we do. See the posts about the State Fair and Elk Grove.
