I tried to germinate a few seeds out of my AG pumpkin i grew this year to see if they would sprout.I didn't have any luck. The seeds are white, they are full, not hollow. Is it possible that they are not mature? You can harvest them and turn right around and germinate them can't you or do they have to go through a drying process? Thanks in advance.

Is a good question. I did the same with four fresh seeds: two went OK, two didn't go.

Since I've had seeds germinate INSIDE the pumpkin, I'd say you should be able to germinate them fresh. Pop a few open, does the seed look good?

It is easier to assess their maturity after they have dried. Seeds that look good & full after being harvested, may dry up to be empties after a few weeks.
