I have tried to sprout several seeds with no success, but now I have 3 seeds sprouted and one growing in a peat pot!! I am so excited!! I tried the "remove the outer shell" method, and that has worked. Yipee!!! Just wish it wasn't winter here in Michigan!!!

Have a look here for more consistent results. Once you get a great seed, you don't want to chance it.

merkilee,
Jordons way is one of the best explained step by step methods I have seen, very detailed and not hard to follow at all, you do it that way and you shouldnt have a problem at all. Only thing I dont use is the peroxide, but thats a matter of choice with growers.

Great job on that Jordon, first time I seen that!

Thanks very much Brooks. I hope it helps anyone with germination issues.

Thanks Jordan, I was familiar with most the techniques you suggest I saw some variations I like. Last year I had a heating pad that shuts itself off after a period of time. I need a new one.Anyway I put your link in Favorites. Like you stated I have just one of a cross that I am really looking forward to growing and it would suck if it not take.
