i want to thank everyone who sent me seeds. what type of ferilizer is the best?

Organic RL. Research in your spare time and in the mean time spread some blood meal and bone meal and try to find some aged manure, that shouldn't be hard to find in Iowa. Mix it all up, water a lot then spread worms around. That's a start and get a soil test when you can. folks here can read the soil test and help you.
