Hi, I've been quite unsuccessful in getting my seeds to germinate. I have not tried the peroxide method. Just curious, what does the peroxide do? Thanks!

Have you filed the edges, what temps and how much moisture in the soil? I have been practicing all winter and have gotten pretty successful. Usually too much moisture in your potting soil or too high of heat can cause seeds to not germinate. I keep mine inbetween 85-90 degrees. Someone else will have to answer about peroxide, but soaking a filed seed in luke warm water works pretty good IMO.

Here is an article that discusses several reasons to use it in the garden -- http://www.gardenzine.co.uk/peroxide.html

I've also read hydrogen peroxide may help by killing any mold/fungus on the seed.
