Weaker (white tipped) seeds, or older seeds (2003). Do they need different care than younger, strong looking seeds? More moisture in starting mix, or less. More heat, or less? any & awl suggestions are welcome!!! 3.5 days since? Two new strong looking seeds are up & under lights!!! Peace, Wayne

White tip seed was a trate of the 723 Bobier, in her day it went for "BIG $" - Grew some big pumpkins in her day. Check back on it, it may have some history dating back to the 723 ????????????

Wayne If their 3 days in the ground and you don't see any sign of a root. I would suggest taking the seed coat off. Should pop right off, place the seed back into the ground and water with warm water and mix in a shot of hydogen peroxide.

Had a seed that was white tipped and white around edges with only a small tan spot in center on both sides. I didn't think it had a chance and it came from a KY boy. I told him I'd try it so I put it in a damp paper towel and started a back-up. Now I'll be growing an extra plant. It popped just as fast as the pretty ones.

1210 Van SandBaggus has nice lookin root growth, re planted, in germ chamber w/ top of seed stickin out just a lil, and sprayed some water on it!!! Thinkin this one will POP!!! 670 Daigle showed no growth at all, peeled coat off, and hoping for the best!!! Inside of seed coat (shell)looked healthy tho (no mold, or rot)...once again, added a lil water & hoping for the best!!!! Peace, Wayne

Wayne I'd go with a cap full of the peroxide to a cup of water. this is the ratio I used and it worked. I had soaked the seeds originally in GA3, and nothing, did the peroxide and seed coat, and within 36 hrs I had roots

I tried the GA3 on my 670 Daigle this year...no results! Lesson learned? Great seeds should be planted....not collected!
