only one cot leaf on my 993 vincent/mcgill still early so should i grow something different or will this plant be okay

As long as it looks healthy you shouldn't have any problems with it. Had that happen to my 1054 van hook last year but it grew out its first leaves just fine. It still is always a good idea to start some back up plants for all of the "what-ifs" that could happen for sure!! Erik
