Last night as I put the new plant into a bigger pot, a piece broke off one of the two leaves on the plant, so there is maybe 3/4ths of the leaf left on that side. Will that hinder the pumpkin plant at all this summer?

Nope -- the first 2 leaves (cots) will die off shortly after the true leaves start growing anyway - they are just there to provide energy to the plant to get it started and soon there will be plenty of leaves so that losing a few will not hurt the plant at all.

Hey! BPookie, I live right by you(sorta) just a heads up but you should try to get them in the ground asap, the weather's great, they'll take right off, plus you dont want them to get root bound.
