What is the best (fastest, saviest) way to start AG seeds? I had some problems with it this year.

what i did was to take a plastic bottle of water, add liquid fert, add seed, place in sun. most seeds float.when the floaters sink,,they have had enough. then i plant them in good soil. most are up in three days.

file, then soak in hydrogen peroxide/water, 50/50,for about 4-6 hours and plant in seed raising mixture, heated to about 88F. I have 95% success with this method so far. 10 of 11 last year and 9 of 9 this year......Ben

I used Bio Boost, kelp and H2O2 last year. This year I just used kelp and H2O2. All is fine in four hour soak to 3 - 4 days to emergence. One day does not make the differnce in my mind. There will be many one days in the growing season for all growers. Why monkey to much with bare hands possibly passing pathogens to the seedling?

Last year I filed down too far I think. My first batch came up, if at all, looking shriveled and funktified. Second batch, no filing, 50/50 H2O x H2O2 for a couple hours then potting mixture...all did fine, and normal.
