Looking for advice for starting pumpkin and green squash seeds. What date do you local folks start? I'm chomping at the bit and getting tired of test germs. I'm ready for the real thing. Thanks

Don't live in W. PA, but several variables are in play, I would think? Enclosed places to put your new giants into? Weather forecast for the next couple of weeks/a month? I live in Ky, so prbly a tad warmer than W. PA. & I have not started a seed yet, mainly b/cause I have not built protection. (Heated huts)! Peace, Wayne

No problem Chopper. Kinda figured you were joking. Probably start in 2 weeks depending on 10 day forecast at that time.

Jay, seriously...some folks in your region, prbly have plants in the ground right now...inside of heated pkn huts! Count back 5 months, (150 days) from your weigh off...60 days of plant growth, then add 90 days of fruit growth...then extend that as far as you can safely do so...to get to the 2500# mark!!!! Grow em BIG!!! Peace, Wayne PS...if planted in heated huts, and the sun comes out..ventilate the huts, or cook those plants...it gets hot!!!
