Cover crop on the new patches looks to be doing well so far, granted it was early December 2025 when I finished my first round of amendments and got the cover crop planted. It's a mix of winter wheat and winter rye. Lots of amendments and soil prep needed here. It's been years since anything has been grown here, if ever! Happy New Year!

So, I'm at it again.. Experimenting with my indoor cutting clones. Decided to try and pollinated a giant squash to see if I can keep it going, indoors, on very low nutrition and less than idea conditions. This is the 1844.5 Holub 2016, and I pollinated it with 3 male flowers from my 1885.5 Werner 2019. Yes a hybrid cross, but a fun project!

So it's aborting already. This tells me that I need to modify my winter feed to help promote fruit set and growth. I already have a new recipie ready to try on the next one that opens for pollination! :)

I've been quiet for a few days, lol.. Since the really bad weather has set in I've mostly just been working on my Web App. I designed it for my own use in AG seed research and grow tracking. So I would have something to use in the patch on my phone or tablet. Then some friends got interested in it. Then it started growing. Now it's turned into a full blown web app. If anyone is interested in checking it out, the web address is https://patchlab.app - It's Free! - I'm open to suggestions or comments on things to change or add to make it better. Currently it already has several very complicated statistic and prediction engines that I've built into it, and also an experimental soil amendment calculator built around AG Grow data. It's on the aggressive side, but I'm using it for my own amendments this year. We'll see how it goes! :) https://patchlab.app

Just rolled out a major update to PatchLab today! I've added a brand new Seed Exchange section where you can list seeds you have available for trade or specific genetics you are looking for.
It is brand new (literally just finished coding it), so it might still have a few bugs or need some polish. If you give it a try and run into any issues or if you have ideas on how to make the trading process smoother please reply and let me know! It's free! :)
Check it out here: https://patchlab.app

A little grafting practice. I need to make a longer tool so I don't split the stock at the cotyledons but I stuck a grafting clip on the split and I think it'll be fine.
