I didn't enter into the long veg classes other than the runner bean as I didn't intend to enter anything other than the cabbage. I did however get the itch to try out the long rooted veg. I tried long parsnips just in a barrel this year for showing at my small local show and managed to grow this 130.8cm(51.5inch)parsnip. Not great in comparison to what won but the 'cogs' are turning now.
