I've just put this on my diary to thank Wizzy for being a very dear friend.
Four Presidents together.
Ian,
As a grower you have brought much to our growing community. Skills, advice, experience, and friendship. As a GPC president you brought vision, leadership, and inspiration, but YOU gave far more.
TIME.
YOU GAVE TIME.
Time is the most precious resource in our lives. In our time poor world you gave the gift of time. And for that, we owe you.
Volunteers don't get paid, not because they're worthless, but because they're priceless. Those who can, do. Those who can do more, VOLUNTEER.
Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart. And you my friend have a WORLD RECORD heart.
