Vapor Pressure Deficit- Deep Dive Part 1 or 2

Affinity VPD Gun
This is a quick and easy to use tool, however it seems that it does need the grower to do some calibration to make it as accurate as possible. It does not seem to be as simple as put batteries in and go use. To get all of the reading accurate other sensors need to be implemented to than base the adjustments for this tool to be effective and accurate. Luckily, there are the options for these adjustments, but there is a bit of a learning curve to get each reading dialed in.

This tool can help the grower quickly know the VPD of the plants in the growing area, but a simple infrared laser thermometer and a humidity monitor can also provide much of the same information with the grower needed to either do a calculation or refer to a VPD chart. However, just be aware there are different target levels that can be impacted by the plants stage of development.
