Leaf Margin Burn
Same thing happened last year, but this year it has been kept under better control and has more limited distribution over the plant.
Did you know that a potassium deficiency and toxicity look the same?
Yes, if the leaf was potassium deficient it would have the same burn pattern, but based on previous tissue tests a potassium toxicity can look the same as a potassium deficiency. This is in part what makes visual diagnosis such a challenge and knowing field history is another important piece of data to help determine the actual cause of an issue.
One possible way to tell the difference is the marginal leaf burn is more likely to occur in older leaves if it is a deficiency and typically if it starts around the pumpkin and in newer growth it is more likely a toxicity.
