Is it weird that I'm getting hungry? BG seeds are no winners of beauty contests, butt I'd eat them as a breakfast cereal, lol! eg

You've got yourself some sturdy chompers if you can munch through these seeds!

I had a bowlful of two of my pumpkins' worth of AG seeds and they were not as tender as last year's so I musta done sumthin' wrong, lol. I have a small Ziploc of them in the freezer to experiment with, already cooked. Y'all, here is how I love them: Seeds boiled in a half-full (seeds covered) sauce pan at a moderate boil UNCOVERED for 12-16 minutes, stirring occasionally with 3 TBSP of salt added, drained through a collander, then the collander is placed into a matching-sized bowl to go into the fridge once cooled to body temperature. I use a soup spoon to take a mouthful every time I open the fridge. Likely to be chewy hulls until I get it figured out, butt the flavor is super-delicious and there are many other options. The ones in the freezer will prolly get re-done.
I had thought often of how the life-given warranty on my jaw is being threatened, butt thanks for the reminder!

Interesting! Well, I have found that water makes the seeds tougher... in oil or just air baked they seem to get more crunchy/less chewy and hence more palatable. (I am referring to thin hulled pumpkin seeds.)

But yeah soup stock seems like it would be a good idea... A vegetarian substitute for bone broth?
